The Director of the 5th Main Maintenance Factory, Major General Kadir Eğriboyun, visited our Rector, Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız. During the visit, accompanied by Abay Can Candan, a cooperation protocol was signed between our University and the 5th Main Maintenance Factory Directorate. The protocol aims to carry out joint activities, such as research, development, and education, in line with the competencies and needs of both parties, particularly through the Institute of Informatics, and to participate in joint projects.

The protocol signing ceremony took place at the New Senate Hall of our University, where signatures were affixed by Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız, our Rector, and Major General Kadir Eğriboyun, the Director of the 5th Main Maintenance Factory.

In addition to Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız and Major General Kadir Eğriboyun, the ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Yücel Gelişli, Vice Rector; Prof. Dr. Cevriye Gencer, Rector’s Advisor; Prof. Dr. Aslıhan Tüfekci, Director of the Institute of Informatics; Associate Prof. Dr. Murat Yılmaz, Assistant Director; Dr. Lecturer Öner Barut, Assistant Director; Ragıp Akyürek, Secretary General; and Assistants to the Secretary General, Mehmet Ali Özkan and Ayhan Selçuk.

In his opening speech, Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız, our Rector, stated, “Today, we will sign a protocol between our University, which is a centuries-old towering tree, and the 5th Main Maintenance Factory Directorate, which is one of the important institutions in our country. The protocol will be for academic cooperation, especially in the field of informatics, but also in all areas. I hope this protocol will be beneficial for both institutions,” and expressed his gratitude to Major General Kadir Eğriboyun, Colonel Can Candan, and all those who contributed to the preparation of the protocol.

Major General Kadir Eğriboyun, Director of the 5th Main Maintenance Factory, expressed his pleasure in being at Gazi University and thanked for the hospitality, wishing that the cooperation protocol would be beneficial for both parties.

After the signing of the protocol, Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız presented Major General Kadir Eğriboyun with a certificate for a sapling planted as part of the University’s afforestation efforts. The ceremony concluded with a photo session to mark the occasion.
